We have won many awards for our style of portraiture and have run three very successful studios in the past. This course is about showing you various lighting set ups, witNatalieh models supplied you will get some stunning images for your portfolio.
Here we an example of the type of topics covered during the course, as each course is personalized this can change subject to your own requirements. A large part of the course is showing you the lighting for subtractive and additive. It is the standard of lighting that we cover on these courses that will win you competitions. There have been many delegates going away from these courses with work that has won them awards. You will not be disappointed

09.30 What do you like to get most from the course.

09.45 Bateman Studios. 35 years of running three very successful studios. We will show you ways of getting started with many money making ideas.

10.30 Types of Portraiture and markets. There are many types of markets out there for portraiture, we will show you ways of making money and explain the different types of markets that are available to us.

10.45 Break

11.00 Equipment. Taking a look at what we need for the portraiture market. 11.30 Studio lighting explained, using one, two, three or four light set up. We will also take a look at available light only, using a window set up. Models will be supplied for you to get plenty of hands on experience.

12.00 Practical work with hand son with models provided.

13.00 Lunch at one of the many eating places that we have along the marina. Take a stroll along and enjoy the many boats tied up and don't forget the camera! 14.00 Location, showing the use of outside lighting and how we would light the face using that soft lighting.

15.00 Arrive back at the centre and taking a quick look at some of the work taken. Work with Photoshop and try out some different effects. We will show you how to enhance the face working with layers and soft tools.

11.00 Break

11.15 Running successful promotions. We will take you through running a Victorian Portraiture competition and show you how we manages to secure 50,000.00 of free advertising.

11.45 Taking a look at Subtraction of Light..

12.00 On location with demonstration of how we use Subtraction of Light outdoors. Models will be supplied and we shall also be demonstrate posing and group arrangement. 12.00 Practical work with hands on with models provided.

13.00 Lunch at one of the many eating places that we have along the marina. Take a stroll along and enjoy the many boats tied up and don't forget the camera!

14.00 Location, looking at environmental portraiture at some of the beautiful locations found around Pembrokeshire.

15.00 Arrive back at the centre and taking a quick look at some of the work taken. Work with Photoshop. There will also be an opportunity of printing out some of the work.

15.45 Organizations and where we go next. Also we will discuss the type of images required to get you qualifications and to win competitions.
